Year 1994
In January 1994 Sanghe Khalsa starts work to convert their dreams
into reality. First Project was to construct new building of Govt.
Primary School of Sanghe Khalsa. Second Project was to clear the
area of 6 canals in front of school building which school building
which sever age place of village and prepare ground over there for
students. And the first project was to construct main gate over
Noormahal – Nakodar road to give recognition to the village. All the
three projects were started at the same time.

In central area of village a meeting was held, pictures taken
during England and Canada meetings were shown. Respect and regards
was his house to school. There was no one who was not present at the
time. Seeing all this Nazar Singh eyes were filled with tears. When
he was asked about his emotional feeling he said that through my
whole life I was eager to make something in village but no one
agreed but due to honest efforts of overseas committee the whole
village is again at one platform.
After this in the presence of villagers and committees members the
construction of main gate started. On one side the gates was
preparing and on the other side tractors and trollys were send to
take sand from nearby fields. The first trolley in sever age pond
looked as if one spoon if sugar was stirred in a big mug of tea. One
naughty guy says that these foreigners got mad. It is not possible
to fill such a big pond.
Nirmal Singh gave answer to this question that chacha ji we are not
from those foreigners who came there, organize Akhand path, enjoy
for few days and departs after they met with their relatives. We
came here with a dream to make this village model gram. We will not
get tired if you will accompany as within 15 days with full
co-operation of all the age-group of village the two canal area from
6 canals was filled. The construction of school building was at its
last stage. After handling the charge to some active members N.R.I’s
returned back to Canada and England with a promise to come back next
year. In this way the development of village Sanghe Khalsa started
which is continuously going even now.
Year 1995
In December 1994 the new building of school was completed. To
transfer students form old building to new building needs the
permission from Chandigarh. The queer thing was that all the
expenditure of new building was made by N.R.I.’s and the villagers.
Many time journeys were taken to Chandigarh. Mr. Ratan Singh who is
the active member of overseas committee and in charge of this
project by his efficient and honest efforts gets the order to
transfer the children and from 10th February 1995 class started
classes started in the new building.
In well planned manner overseas committee decided that they will
work on three main subjects.
1. Clean Environment
2. Education
3. Sports
In January 1995 the N.R.I.’s of England and Canada get together and
starts work on these three fronts.

For the clean surroundings and
atmosphere the biggest necessity was to clean the spoiled water of
sewerage. Taking this view as most important starts to start a safe
and clean sever age system. To wells of deepest point of 25 feet and
30 feet diameter was prepared. To whole scheme was to connect the
dirty the dirty water of village to the wells and then with
under-ground pipes this water should be used for irrigation purpose
and from deepest point water should be to fields during rainy
season. On one side the construction of well was going on and on
other side trolleys were working for filling the pond. In the mid of
1995 half work done. The strength of villagers in filling this well
cool down to some extent. So N.R.I. brothers paid for the trolleys.
As the filling goes on, the pond shrinks and water was unable to get
into pond. New engine was brought to serve the purpose and flexible
pipe of 200m length was brought to discharge the water into near by
passing canal.
The purposeful projects for uplift meant of education and to clean
the environment started but sports were untouched project. Satnam
Singh Randhawa took responsibility on himself and starts tournament
has taken place on 13, 14 and 15 of January and the whole money is
spent by Randhawa family.
YEAR 1996
The building of govt. primary school was fully built. Parents of
children felt relieved because the school was aimed the village and
children had to travel a lot reach at old school. The two parts of
pond were filled with sand and it was converted into playground. But
there was one more problem 12 marle of land near ground was property
of two Brother Ujagar Singh Numberdar and Jagga Singh. The area of
playground will become square in shape if they give it as an act of
wisdom. But none comes forth to ask them directly. Then Nirmal Singh
along with Satnam Singh and other Panchayat members went to them and
both of them after few moments of hesitation agreed over the fact.
We are always grateful to them for this act of wisdom. And with this
due to noble act of Sardar Ujagar Singh and Jagga Singh the ground
was prepared. This is also the act of N.R.I. brothers, if they have
not start the struggle it was not only hard but impossible for the
villagers to complete these projects. We think it necessary to
maintain one thing over here. After earning money in foreign
countries it is somewhat easy to give it for noble cause because
value of currency increases in India. But after hard earning in
India it is very difficult to part with it. This family of
Numberdars earns their living through Agriculture. And to give away
property of much value is really a great act of deed and importance.
YEAR 1997
A meeting of N.R.I’s brothers was hold in England in 1996 in which
descriptions of going on projects was given and future planes were
made. A large portion of pond was taken illegally by the near by
families. Leaving this matter to the villagers it was decided that a
wall should be constructed all around the field up ground so that
the place should be kept safe for school children in near future.
In meeting following demands were made by different members:
1. To construct pucca road of rising side.
2. Efforts should be made for telephone line.
3. To apply for 24 hrs electricity supply.
4. To prepare shed for the cremation.
According to set plans is January 1997 a wall was constructed all
around the ground and this mini project was completed with in 10
days. The slides and swings were established for students in the
playground. A three-tyre vehicle was prepared for the Zamadar so
that the village should be keep clean.
Due to admirable efforts of youth the telephone line was set up in
the village. Many families were willing to set up their personal
telephone but no one agreed to pay for the panchayat telephone. This
work is also done by fund collected by N.R.I. brothers.
In the same way Ten thousand two hundred and sixty –five rupees were
submitted for the 24hrs supply of electricity concrete road to Natta
side was sanctioned. But work stopped due to lack of filling sand.
